As a hearing aid wearer when I 1st used cell phones I used Nokia as they sell a loop system for speaking and hearing on the phone!it was brilliant! I now use a blaackberry with a hearing aid feauture! Try shopping around with various brand phones rather than service providers.

same applies to Telkom. I am fortunate to have bought a wireless handset from them which has a click-on amplifier. It seems they have now discontinued this line. Unbelievable in today's high-tech world.

Vodacom has launched a phone for the hard of hearing. It's called a BELLEN and works with bone conduction technology. I obtained one and must say it really works well. Unfortunately it has no features, such as camera or web acess etc...very basic phone

I can relate to your frustration. Vodacom has given me the customers careline (an sms version where you can communicate with the careline via sms which was a bonus), but with much avail I received no response .
